In the beginning of 2016 a new musical collaboration evolved out of a spontaneous inspiration: the guitarist and composer Pippo Corvino found out about the music of the singer, pianist and composer Ángela Tröndle and took one of her songs he found on her website to create a new arrangement, which he recorded then in his studio. Later when he sent it to her it was soon very clear that the two of them have a very similar musical understanding: the new sound of her song, as surprisingly as it appeared, immediately pleased her and excited by this blind musical understanding they decided to continue this path.
Over three months they wrote several songs together, not having met each other once, just communicating through the internet. Many of those songs have also already been recorded in this period and therefore are musical snapshots of moments and phases of this special musical and personal encounter. After three months they decided to meet each other and started playing and rehearsing the songs for first live-concerts. Since then the repertoire is continuously growing and will lead to their first album Getting Out of the Envelopes, which will be released in January 2017 on cracked anegg records.
The album will be a collection of songs which came into being mostly since early 2016, but also new arrangements of some songs of Ángela Tröndle's solo-program will be part of the CD. The recording-process itself was a continuous work in progress over many months, reflecting this encounter in diverse musical ways.
