Áron Tálas Trio
- Áron Tálas - piano
- József Barcza Horváth - double bass
- Attila Gyárfás - drums
Pianist Áron Tálas, winner of Junior Prima and Gramophone Awards and voted repeatedly as best Hungarian jazz musician by readers of jazzma.hu, is well-known about his versatility. Besides being the permanent member of the Mihály Borbély Quartet, he plays in different other formations sharing the stage sometimes with the likes of Dave Liebman, Nils Petter Molvaer or Ed Neumeister. Nevertheless, the most important for him is his own trio, where he can present his compositional skills as well.
The Áron Tálas Trio, reaching its present lineup in 2015, plays on a very energetic, dynamically widely varying level. Tálas’ compositions cover a bright spectrum of music, as in his melting pot we can find also elements of classical, Hungarian folk and pop; notwithstanding the character of their musical repertoire is quite organic. The rhythm section of József Barcza Horváth and Attila Gyárfás is a musical delicacy in itself; their energetic and imaginative playing is can add new directions to the flow of music. Floating Island, the trio's first album, will appear in Japan in April on the prestigious label Gats Productions.
