Opus Jazz Club’s opening concert for 2020, a meeting of four disctintive artists from the middle generation of Hungarian jazz, promises a truly interesting and unique evening. All four musicians follow their own paths, while Bacsó and Fenyvesi live in Budapest, Dés is resident in Vienna and Szandai in Paris. Nonetheless, they have been involved and co-operated in numerous local and international projects over the past decade, such as the Kristóf Bacsó Quartet, Mátyás Szandai Quintet or the legendary Konzervnyitó Akciócsoport (Can-Opening Action Group). On this evening, everyone puts his own ideas into the common repertoire, resulting in an exciting and diverse musical experience – and a soaring ‘all-stars’ gala.
