BMC organizes its biennial International Tenor and Bass Trombone Competition for the second time. To mark the occasion, two highly established Hungarian trombone ensembles will perform a colorful bouquet of trombone pieces and arrangements at the opening concert.

Premier Trombone Quartet was founded in 2013 from the trombonist students of the University of Szeged. They proved to be two times the best brass band in Chieri, Italy. Their greatest success so far has been achieved at the 1st In Medias Brass International Brass Band Music Festival and Competition, winning the Grand Prix of the competition. The succes of Szeged Trombone Ensemble, the other performer of the evening, is in many ways due to their special sound, playing also on alto trombone, euphonium, or even contabass trombone. In their performances, they prove that there is life beyond the limits of their instruments: they are characterized by extravagant voices and virtuosity in the world of trombonists.

Free entry for the concert and for all rounds of the competition! You can find the program of the competition here.
