The young Polish musicians, collaborating frequently also with renowned Polish jazz performers, are outstanding talents in their country earning more than twenty festival prizes altogether in recent years. A tender, forcing cultural, especially musical, co-operation between the two countries made possible the formation of the sextet, thus, hopefully, we can witness the start of a long-term connection and mutual work. The band’s local coordinator, Ágoston Szabó Sipos, studied at the Wroclaw Academy of Music with a scholarship where he met the Polish musicians. The project’s aim is to bring jazz music closer to the youth with a novel sound melting up-to date styles from hip-hop to freestyle together with the original improvised nature of the genre.
