The second evening in the series entitled Classical Lights, which focuses on contemporary music, will feature two historic works: the four-movement St Paul's Suite in C major (Op. 29/2) by Gustav Holst, and a truly avant-garde composition, Witold Lutosławski's funeral music Musique funèbre (1958). This year's Classical Lights concerts will feature a contemporary master-pupil duo: the Hungarian premiere of Miklós Csemiczky's Suite hollandaise will close the concert, while the first half of the concert will feature a piece by Csemiczky pupil Péter Andorka.
