Since its foundation in 2010, Butterfly Effect has been developing its unique music, incorporating elements of jazz, hip-hop, folk and classical music. Besides creating this singular sound, the goal of the members is to broadcast an authentic cultural heritage, to transmit the lesser-known Hungarian folk songs to a wider audience, and through the diversity of genres, to make them be a part of the universal cultural heritage. The Butterfly Effect Band regularly performs in Hungary, also gave concerts with great success in many European Hungarian Institutes. Their first record has been published in 2012 by NarRator Records.
János Vázsonyi, one of the acknowledged Hungarian saxophonists for 15 years, he has published several albums in numerous genres, from classical to electronic music, through jazz. He toured several times around Europe with his various outfits. Singer Bori Magyar is mostly known from Besh o droM, a group combining Balkan, Gypsy and Middle-Eastern traditions, Hungarian folk music and world music. She has also sung with Bobby Mcferrin in Moscow and Budapest. She principally experiments the merging of traditional music from different regions, and also likes to incorporate folk songs to different styles. Dániel Kardos, a highly accomplished Hungarian guitarist, plays in several bands, among them Swing á la Django and Pankastic. He appears on more than 20 albums. His play incorporates jazz, Balkan elements, also Middle-eastern and Indian music. Beatboxer and looping artist Tamás Dömötör is national champion of the genre, he also holds a second place in the world championship. He considers as his mission to elevate beatbox to an academic level.
