Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B minor is the greatest creation of human spirit. It is the musical spiritual testament of the master. lf he summarized everything he knew about the canon in the Musikalisches Opfer, if he confessed about the genre of etemity in the Kunst der Fuge, then Mass in B minor is the recording of that learning of enterity which he gained from disocvering the only Reality, which is God. As János Pilinszky writes:'lt is not actually the creative force of Bach that shakes me, rather the force that surges from his allience with the Creator'. Our series is seeking to analyse the musical and theological depths of the work's spirit.
