Since winning the 1995 Lausanne Guitar Competition, Robi Dely has given concerts with several of his own bands alongside prominent figures in the Hungarian music scene. He and saxophonist János Vázsonyi have known each other since their studies, and building on this musical friendship, they have performed as a duo on numerous occasions. For this concert, their collaboration expands into a quartet with the contribution of György Frey and Zsolt Kovács. Consisting of original compositions and jazz standards, the program will be defined by the encounter of two different styles: while Vázsonyi leans more toward traditional jazz, Dely is closer to the genre’s progressive, experimental side.
