On the Contemporary Music Day, created by the Festival Academy Budapest, music lovers can discover the Budapest Music Center from the rooftop terrace through the Opus Jazz Club and the Library to the Concert Hall. Beside the concerts, multi-arts round-table discussions will give visitors the opportunity to meet writers, poets and composers in person. From 10:00, György Kurtág will give a public masterclass on Bartók's String Quartet No. 4 with his characteristic intensity, accompanied by the Kelemen Quartet, followed by half-hour concerts throughout the day. From 19:00 concertgoes can join a live recording of György Ligeti's Horn Trio, and five young composers will perform works commissioned by the Festival.
