Gábor Gadó Trio feat. Christophe Monniot

21:00
Opus Jazz Club
Gábor Gadó - guitar Christophe Monniot - saxophone József Barcza Horváth - double-bass Elemér Balázs - drums Gábor Gadó’s standard French quartet has appeared already at the Opus, this time his Hungarian trio hosts another long-time French partner of him. The outstanding, eccentric saxophonist, Christophe Monniot, towering over even many rampant French musicians, had his debut performance at BMC Records in 2004 on the extravagant album La manivelle magyare. Since then he is considered as one of the label’s “in-house musicians”. This co-operation is marked by further four excellent albums and several festival performances, with Joachim Kühn, Miklós Lukács or The Cool Runnings Orchestra among them. We are especially happy that he is one of the most sought-after saxophone players in France at present. The rhythm-section consisting of Elemér Balázs and József Barcza-Horváth has played a lot with Gabor formerly, so we can be sure that the all-star group will provide us a hell of an evening!
