“Blues are the songs of despair, but gospel songs are the songs of hope. When you sing gospel you have the feeling there is a cure for what’s wrong, but when you are through with the blues, you’ve got nothing to rest on.”
(Mahalia Jackson)

Hajnal Magyar Vocal Studio has prepared a special evening for gospel music lovers, which will feature gospel music from the past as well as today. Listens can hear music from Mahalia Jackson, Ray Charles, and more.

The gospel choir performing on this special evening will be comprised of students who attend the vocal studio, which has been in existence for 16 years. Featured singers will include: Viki Lábas (Margaret Island), Zsófi Tarján (Honeybeast), Panna Pálmai (Pankastic); Böbe Szécsi, Tamás Veréb, Tünde Misurák; Julianna Pál, Patrik Kovács, Diána Lingura; Gabriella Kiss-Mischinger, Bence Szabó-Kádár, and Dominika Aranyos. Over the course of the evening, the drummer Péter Kaszás will also sing a beautiful worship song.

There will be a full band accompanying the students, allowing for an authentic portrayal of the songs performed throughout the evening. Musicians will include: Krisztián Dajka on guitar, Gergő Kolta on bass guitar, Attila Juhász on piano, Levente Molnár on various keyed instruments, and Péter Kaszás on drums.

One if the missions of the vocal studio is to raise up talented individuals. 'The Light' children's choir will also perform during the concert, with the direction of Dominika Aranyos.

Tickets are available for 2500 HUF on the spot,
