Dear Guests, due to unexpected reasons, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos Jr. and Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos are unable to perform with the Quintet on this concert. We are happy to announce however that Krisztián Oláh has agreed to perform with the band as the piano soloist for this occasion. Tickets are automatically valid for the changed lineup but if you would rather redeem your ticket, please contact us at [email protected] via email.
Gallery tickets will be available on the spot even if the online ticketing system tells you that the show is sold out. Please order your drinks downstairs at the bar if you are seated on the gallery.
The history of the Hungarian Jazz Quintet began fifty years ago with Rákfogó. The keyboardist of the frenetic ensemble, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, revived his band with Gyula Babos and Imre Kőszegi a few years ago. The band was transformed after the death of Gyula Babos and now continues as the Hungarian Jazz Quintet. At this concert, this history is continued by the two sons of Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, who passed away the 2nd of October. Their programme draws on works by Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Miles Davis and John Coltrane, but features compositions by the band members as well.
Tickets are available for 2500 HUF on the spot, online at bmc.jegy.hu, and at InterTicket Jegypont partners across Hungary.
Table reservations are automatically added during ticket purchase.
Please note that if you purchase an odd number of seats, you might have to share the table with others, especially if the concert is sold out.
For the best dining experience please arrive around 7pm.
