Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, one of the most influential Italian Renaissance masters, was born 500 years ago. His legacy continued to be influential for the next half millennium; Kodály, among others, made it compulsory for his students to study and master the Palestrina style. This programme curated by Lorenzo Donati explores this inspiration through works by contemporary composers.
