Jazzy Live: Orsi Sapszon Quintet
21:00
Opus Jazz Club
Orsi Sapszon - vocals
Gábor Cseke - piano
Márton Fenyvesi - guitar
Benedek Kiss - double bass, bass guitar
Márton Juhász - drums
Orsi Sapszon was born to a family with strong musical background, thus from her childhood she has studied classical music and has been singing in choirs. Though devoted later more to popular music, her classical roots still have their effect on her own world of music and singing style. She may be best known from Péter Geszti’s group, Gringo Star and from the a cappella group Octovoice. She has performed with her brother, pianist Bálint Sapszon, several times in the US, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall or at the European Jazz Festival of the UCLA.
Orsi Sapszon Quintet, her own group was founded in the summer of 2013, recruiting top Hungarian jazz musicians. They have several Hungarian songs of the past on their repertoire, leading us to a special cheerfully melancholic world, thanks to the colourful arrangements of Gábor Cseke, Márton Fenyvesi and Bálint Sapszon.
Tickets are available for 1500 HUF on the spot, in the national JEGYPONT network of Interticket and online at JEGY.HU.
Seating at the Opus jazz Club can only be guaranteed in case of a table reservation.
