In his late 20s, Kris Bauer quit his safe job at a bank to record his “electro acoustic symphony”. Moving out of his apartment and away from home – an uncompromising determination is probably the best label for his state of mind. For the last couple of years, he has taken some distance to planet earth to record his compositions in a record studio in Hamburg. The way he plays the guitar, merging organic acoustic sounds with electronic sounds, is downright brilliant and unprecedented. His motive-driven compositions create a continuous piece of music with reoccurring elements and motives across songs and records. With his album electro acoustic symphony part I, he published numerous arrangements of these sounds – some purely acoustic and unplugged, others with vocals or a beat. It is this variety of sounds that he manages to get on stage with his band “electro acoustic orchestra” which makes each live performance a unique and diverse experience.
