The Kristóf Bacsó Quartet plays compositions of the leader as well as of Kálmán Oláh. Besides the carefully elaborated parts, the common improvisation, the unusual timbres and voicings play an important role. The music of the quartet draws from the present as well as fromd the Centra European musical traditions. The rhythm section of the quartet is formed by one of the most versatile bass players in Hungary, József Barcza Horváth and the renowned representative of the young drummer generation, Attila Gyárfás.
