Kristóf Bacsó - saxophone Gábor Cseke - piano Tibor Fónay - double bass László Csízi - drums “Kristóf Bacsó is an outstanding composer and excellent performer I had the luck to play with several times” (Lionel Loueke) At the present MAO Session Kristóf Bacsó and his friends perform mostly ballads. Thus the musicians play tribute to the main inspiration of the evening Ballads , John Coltrane’s landmark album of jazz standards. Besides evoking Coltrane’s emotional side, some of Kristóf Bacsó’s originals will appear on the program as well. Besides three Modern Art Orchestra members, Kristóf Bacsó, Gábor Cseke and László Csízi, the quartet’s line-up is completed by Tibor Fónay shining this time on bass guitar instead of double bass.
