Máté Balogh, winner of the composers’ competition New Hungarian Music Forum 2015 in the chamber category, studied composition at the Franz Liszt University of Music where he graduated as the pupil of Zoltán Jeney. His compositions were performed at numerous national and international festivals, such as: Manifeste Festival (IRCAM, Paris), Ostrava Days, Axes Kraków, Kurtág & Ungarn (Bern). As PhD student, he is at present lecturer at the department for composition of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music.

Lőrinc Muntag graduated from Academy of Music in 2013 as a student of László Vidovszky. He was singing in many choirs and vocal ensembles, from January 2014 he is musical director of the masses according to traditional Roman rite in the Budapest Inner City Parish Church. He founded the Istvánffy Chamber Choir the same year. From 2015 he is artistic director of St. John the Baptist’s Schola Cantorum in Zsámbék.

The third composer of the evening, Péter Tornyai, winner of the composers’ competition New Hungarian Music Forum 2013 in the chamber category studied composition at the Franz Liszt University of Music where he graduated also as the pupil of Zoltán Jeney. Hi is a permanent member of Gábor Csalog’s Ludium Ensemble, aimed for the study and performance of György Kurtág’s music in the frame of summer courses and concerts.
