Miklós Lukács Cimbiózis 5tet
- Miklós Lukács - cimbalom
- Csaba Klenyán - clarinet, bass clarinet
- Attila Jankó - bassoon
- György Orbán - double bass
- István Baló - drums
One of the most original trio on the Hungarian jazz scene, Miklós Lukács Cimbiózis, has released two albums on Fonó Records, both of them earning serious critical acclaim. Besides countless performances in Hungary, they had appearances on different foreign festivals as well (Wrocław, Athens, etc.).
The stable team of Miklós Lukács, György Orbán and István Baló will record the material of their third album in February 2018. The trio expands to a quintet for the recording, with the participation of two excellent musicians on reeds, Csaba Klenyán and Attila Jankó, both of them essentially active in classical-contemporary music. The musical world of the new album moves towards a contemporary chamber music, while improvisation plays a similar basic role in it as it did on the two previous discs. The extended lineup by two wind instruments and the musical personalities of the new members, however, make a more complex, more colorful sound possible, and defintiely the new compositions will utilize this feature vigorously.
The new material will be presented the first time to the audience of the concert in the Opus Jazz Club.
