Nikoletta Szőke, chosen by readers of Jazzma.hu both in 2014 and 2015 as “Singer of the year”, is without a doubt the most popular Hungarian singer on the international jazz scene. She leads two own groups, the Nikoletta Szőke Quartet and the Nikoletta Szőke ‘Version B’ Project.
Albums of the Nikoletta Szőke Quartet appear since 2010 in Japan, with imposing sales worldwide. With the expiry of their contract for five discs, the quartet released their latest album, I Thought About You, on the renowned Japanese label, Gats Production.
On the present gig in the Opus Jazz Club the quartet plays tunes from the album, as well as performs numerous pieces of their prestigious and vast repertoire.
