Aga Zaryan, a major star of European jazz singing, is known for her distinctive style and intimate approach to singing, with a characteristic lightness of phrasing and matte-toned voice. Her successful career is an example of integrating ambitious artistic goals with popular appeal, recording seven albums to date, all of which have earned gold, platinum and multi-platinum status. Her bestseller albums Picking Up The Pieces, Looking Walking Being and A Book of Luminous Things were released on the prestigious Blue Note label. Warm, engaging and very personal, she's a unique interpreter of both contemporary and classic jazz repertoire, with a reputation spanning from the USA to Japan.
Aga Zaryan appears in Budapest with the established European Jazz Quartet, featuring Michał Tokaj (p), Michał Barański (b) and Łukasz Żyta (dr).
