“RGG provide their feelings to the listener in a clean, pristine way. They can be thrifty, and a moment later incredibly expressive, but each time returning to a soothing silence” (jazzarium.pl)
Since 2001, RGG became a brand for the European improvised piano trio, thanks to the artists’ equal engagement in the procedure of musical creation. The music of RGG is dedicated to the recipient of the active intellect – that’s how its members characterize their work. Indeed, when perceiving RGG’s music with dedicated attention, the unique style and special musical world of this unusual piano trio opens up to the listener. Unusual, yes, as they are a unit of three equal musicians, creating their musical story together.
In the RGG-story, the year 2013 was marked by the milestone of pianist Przemysław Raminiak’s departure after 12 years. He was replaced by the young talent, Łukasz Ojdana, an artist who perceives the culture of sound and the artist’s personality as overarching elements of an expressive musical character. He is featured on Aura, the trio’s seventh album, to be released on 21 October, 2014 on the prestigious OKeh Records label at Sony Music Entertainment. The album is in a way a synthesis of the trio’s previous musical experience, as well as a step towards something new as the artists opened themselves to inspiration from quite different musical genres like sacred, classical, or pop music – beside jazz, of course.
