Hungary is celebrating the legendary composer and music teacher Zoltán Kodály this year. Budapest Music Center and the Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foudation are joining forces to organise an International master course for conductors based on Kodály’s pieces. The professors are Maestro Peter Eötvös and Gregory Vajda. Along with Kodály, the master class focuses on Wolfgang Rihm who could be considered as a German contemporary counterpart as a fellow composer and professor himself, too. During the closing concert selected young conductors will have the oppportunity to conduct a simphony orchestra and show the progress thy have achieved during the master class. The public could follow the concert via livestreaming.
