Composer László Sándor’s three-part lecture series tells us the history of Western music’s arguably greatest invention, cantus firmus. Starting from the music of the Roman Church, the lectures detail the role of cantus firmus in the music of Protestantism, romanticism, the early 20th century, right up to its rebirth in 21st century contemporary music.

The lectures are held in Hungarian.
