Herbie Hancock apprentice Árpád Tzumo is one of the most versatile composers and keyboard players in Hungary who, both with his own formation SoLaTi, and as a regular member of a numerous groups, regularly performs at clubs and festivals both at home and abroad. This evening, however, he is introducing himself from a completely new side, since for the second time after a sold-out first concert in the BJC, he plays the drums instead of the keys.

Tzumo's father was a well-known drummer, who worked with the legendary Attila Garay, among others, so it is hardly surprising that in his childhood Árpád was constantly “drumming around” at home, as he puts it. However, of course not neglecting the keys, he has begun recently to deal quite seriously with drumming. The result is Tzumo Drums Band, his newly formed quartet with well-known musicians of the Hungarian scene, playing a repertoire comprised mostly of Tzumo's originals.
