On the occasion of composer Gyula Csapó’s 70th birthday, we get to know who and why are sneaking around a certain Golden Age in the Western hemisphere: in the Americas and Europe. Alongside Varèse's Octandre, one of the starting points of avant-garde classical music, composed in 1923, UMZE has selected one chamber piece each from the great oeuvres of George Crumb, Claude Vivier, and Franco Donatoni. The special score of Crumb's work greatly stimulates the musicians' imagination, and they will also show it to the audience. The ensemble will also celebrate the 70th birthday of Francophone master Pascal Dusapin with a Hungarian premiere.
