Viktor Tóth is a frequent guest of the Opus Jazz Club: he delivers successful concerts with his Arura trio, his group Birdfood Market as well as with other, larger lineups. His present outfit, Viktor Tóth Tercett is the saxophonist’s oldest continuously working group which, founded back in 2004 and after undergoing some changes in the initial line-up, exists in the present one since 2012.

With just a slight difference in the list of the three musicians compared to Arura trio, the result is an entirely different musical texture. Similar to his other groups, the compositions and playing of the bandleader are determining here as well. The Viktor Tóth - György Orbán pairing, well-known also from the Arura, is rounded up here to a trio by the brilliant young drummer, Dávid Hodek. The three equivalent partners deliver a strong, constantly renewing program, comparable in quality to some of the best ones in the history of jazz saxophone trios.
