VindPower, as its name suggests playfully, was founded by the excellent Estonian clarinettist, composer and arranger, Meelis Vind, who is a much sought-after performer in his home country both for classical and contemporary music concerts and jazz stages. Vind performed already at the Opus, taking in last March an active part in the success of another Estonian group, Heliotroop.

VindPower has an exploding, experimenting mix of repertoire with predominantly own compositions. Among the effects of their groove-oriented music, the elements of the European classical heritage, the Anglo-Saxon progressive line of the 1970s and fusion music, emerging out of it, are just as much present as atmospheric or psychedelic improvisations and multifaceted sounds. The musical trinity of harmony – rhythm – melody radiating from the stage lifts up its listeners from the level of their everyday life and takes them to a long wandering path.
