The winners of the BMC International Tenor and Bass Trombone Competition 2018 were announced on Saturday, the 1st of September after the competition's finals.

In the tenor category, Kris Garfitt received the 1st prize. The 2nd prize was awarded to Grégoire Devaux, while Bence Flaskay received the 3rd prize.

In the bass category, no 1st prize was awarded. Instead, both Gábor Hegyi and Marco Rodrigues were awarded a 2nd prize.

The jury also awarded a special prize to Kim Sungsoo.

The Competition concluded on the 2nd of September with a gala concert featuring the 2018 awardees at Budapest Music Center's concert hall.
