News Opus Jazz Club restarts its concert program in July
In accordance with the Hungarian government decree of 18 June - according to which it will be possible to hold events for less than 500 people again after the emergency has ended - the Opus Jazz Club will reopen as a concert venue on July 1 with a limited audience.
By redesigning the auditorium, the organizers will maximize the number of people in hundred people, thus meeting the requirement of a safety distance of one and a half meters. In the July program of the jazz club we will find the Subtones band, led by trumpet player Gábor Subicz, who will present their new album Octopus, Kornél Fekete-Kovács will play along with Slovak, Austrian and Serbian musicians with the Altar Quintet, but we can hear the exciting, electronically spiced vocal-bass duo of Linda Kovács and Ádám Bögöthy. The France based Hungarian guitarist Gábor Gadó arrives at the club with his quintet, the young pianist Krisztián Oláh's quartet gives us a selection of their recently released album, and we can hear Ég Alatti 5's music wich contains hard bop and folk style elements, formation Coltrane Legacy pays tribute to the art of the legendary saxophonist John Coltrane with their virtuoso music.
The services of the BMC Library are available from June 16 to July 1, according to the summer opening hours, provided you wear a mask. In the second half of August, the 2020/2021 season will start in the BMC Concert Hall with the concert of the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra.
