Bacsó - Szandai Reunion Quartet

21:00
Opus Jazz Club

Kristóf Bacsó – saxophone Márton Fenyvesi - guitar Mátyás Szandai - double bass Elemér Balázs – drums

Versatile musicians of their generation, saxophone player Kristóf Bacsó and double-bass player Mátyás Szandai are common in their endless quest for the new, while maintaining their deep respect to tradition. Their musical collaboration dates back more than a decade, in most different line-ups and projects, from their own groups to various outfits of renowned Hungarian leaders as Kálmán Oláh, Gábor Gadó, Dániel Szabó or Miklós Lukács, just to name a few.
Though Szandai moved headquarters to Paris lately, they arrange common concerts as often as possible, in order to continue their musical partnership. Their last meeting happened in March in the French capital, now they are taking up the thread of their conversation in Budapest, at the Opus.
The youngest generation is represented in the quartet by guitarist Márton Fenyvesi, being active in different European cities already, while drummer Elemér Balázs, regular artist of Hungarian and international stages, surely doesn’t need any introduction.
