Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous cycle, Das Wohltemperierte Klavier was promoting what was at the time a novel system of tuning, and did so mostly with the power of quality. Though time was to prove the truth of Bach, it has also become clear that a “well-tempered piano” also has drawbacks, not only benefits.

Certain excerpts from Péter Wolf’s playfully titled composition, which salutes the great predecessor, have been performed recently. The complete work, which József Balog has recorded for BMC Records, can be first heard at this record debut concert.
