Modern Art Orchestra Artistic director: Kornél Fekete-Kovács This is the second event in Modern Art Orchestra’s concert series on jazz history, introducing works of composers, whose activities induced a convergence between different genres of music, like classical and jazz. After George Gershwin today they deal with works of Duke Ellington. In the first part of the concert the orchestra performs Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker suite in the arrangement of Duke Ellington és Billy Strayhorn. In the second part they will play besides Ellington compositions some Christmas compositions as well.
