The unbelievably talented Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos feels at home both in classical music and in jazz. Since 1995, he has been steadily winning the awards of various music contests, including the award for best pianist and best soloist in Carcow, and the first prize in the solo piano category at Montreux in 2000. In 2005, he won the best soloist award at the Avignon Jazz Festival. Among many others, he collaborated with Jack DeJohnette, Erik Truffaz, Ravi Coltrane, and John Patitucci, who praised his lyrical playing.
