Soundpainting and Player Piano
5:00 - 6:30 pm Soundpainting lecture lead by Samu Gryllus, preparing for the concert
7:00 pm Soundpainting and player piano, an interactive collective concert
- Váczi Dániel - szaxofon, elektronika
- Bolcsó Bálint - elektronika
- Rubik Ernő - zongora
Three members of the Hungarian Soundpainting Society explore the relation between the soundpainting language, created by Walter Thompson in Woodstock, New York in 1974, and BMC’s Sauter player piano. Using compositions of Joseph Haydn and Conlon Nancarrow, they connect the sign language and the improvisational tools of the player piano provided by its computer system.
Members of the trio:
Dániel Váczi - saxophone, electronics
Bálint Bolcsó - electronics
Ernő Rubik - piano
Like in the recent season, a soundpainting lecture, starting at 5 p.m., will happen again dealing also with the material of the evening. The concert will be finished with a communal playing of music. Everybody, showing interest, is welcome with or without instruments!
Free entry!
