We could continue to recite countlessly the praises appearing in the media, but this is enough to state that the Giulia Valle Group is regarded by the professionals as the number one in the jazz export of Spain.
Born in Sanremo, Italy, but grown up in Barcelona, with classical and modern background, composer and bass player Giulia Valle is considered, both by the public and by professionals, as a special & unique voice of the contemporary jazz scene and as one of the greatest international bands of Spain. After her education in music in Barcelona and Paris she flew to NYC where she has studied by Scott Colley and Ben Street, and has worked and shared experience with musicians such as John Mc Neil, Guillermo Klein, Mayte Martín, Bill McHenry, Jason Lindner or Antonio Canales among many others. The music of the Giulia Valle Group, laced with Spanish, Brazilian, and Argentine influences, shows a large range of emotions and sound, is full of nuances. It is imaginative, unpredictable and powerful; fed by a strong rhythm section and two front-line soloists.
