Tibor Kónyai, pianist-composer from Sopron, has been playing his instrument since the age of seven. Beside more than a hundred originals he also has penned soundtracks to a couple of nature films. With Art Classic, his orchestra for winds and strings, he released so far seven albums of own compositions. He has played with numerous prominent figures of Hungarian jazz as Myrtill Micheller, Eszter Váczi, Zsuzsa Cserháti, Csaba Deseő, Gábor Juhász, István Gyárfás or Gábor Kollmann.

The virtuoso pianist has appeared a few times on the stage of Opus. Now he arrives with his duo, formed recently with Estelle, a singer at present living in Berlin, and performing there in numerous jazz clubs (Ufer Cafe, Zimmer16, Haus der Sinne). Estelle's voice and perfomance are equally genuine when singing authentic folk songs or pieces from entirely different genres like jazz, pop, latin, or chanson. For the Opus concert the duo will be backed by the rhythm section comprised of Krisztián Lakatos Pecek - Zoltán Kalmár.
