The tradition of composing and performing night music dates back many centuries, proven by many artistic “Nachtmusik” and “Serenata” pieces from the 18th century. From the 19th century onwards, however, the most important signal of the relationship between the night and the music became a new keyboard genre, the nocturne, which inspired generations of composers. Gábor Csalog's recital guides the listener through the world of the nocturnes, but in addition to the nocturnes by Chopin, Liszt and Fauré, night music such as Schumann's "Nachtstück", Janáček's " The Barn Owl Has Not Flown Away!" and Bartók's "The Music of the Night" will also be performed by the pianist.
