Jazz Migration 2018 | Novembre (F)
- Antonin Tri Hoang - saxophone
- Romain Clerc-Renaud - piano
- Thibault Cellier - double bass
- Elie Duris - drums
The music of Novembre is inspired both by jazz history and contemporary composing techniques, and even by means of film-editing in David Lynch movies or by the collage art of Pablo Picasso. Diffracted melodies, compositional fragments are used as general material to form their musical scenario while their listeners’ brains work in a rush to identify reminiscences of themes thought to be long forgotten and lost in the past. Zapping, collages, mirror games and time ellipses are the tools that feed Novembre’s lyricism and poetry.
